This is the RecBox from I-O Data.

This is a storage drive that is available in 1, 1.5, and 2 terabyte sizes for all sorts of recording of TV shows. It can hook up to a TV, or PC, or even a PS3.

That should be enough for lots of TV shows, but I wish we had a price or availability date for it.
