Hitachi Will Release 10-mm Thin Plasma TVs

In an effort to be globally competitive in the Television market, Japanese company Hitachi announces their plan to release a 10-mm thick, or should I say, thin plasma TV by 2010. For perspective, 10-mm is LESS than 0.4 inches. That’s less than half an-inch of a plasma TV. Before that though, the company plans on releasing a 35-mm thick PDP TV next year. Other than the wafer-thin plasma TV on 2010, Hitachi will also release a 15-mm (0.6-inch) LCD TV by 2012. Give these companies a few more years and TVs won’t be anything but paper-thin devices.
