Fidelis Plans First 3 Classical SACDs in August

Fidelis Records has announced that they plan to release three of their albums on SACD in mid August. All three discs will be Hybrid Layer SACDs, so they will be playable on both SACD and CD players.

Fidelis is a well known audiophile label that has a unique approach to their releases. They strongly believe that the energy of a musical performance is best captured during a live performance. So all of their albums are recorded live (vs. in a recording studio) in locations that include old church sanctuaries, art museums and theatrical venues that have “clean, balanced, and natural sound.”

The first three Fidelis SACDs are scheduled to be:

  • Tchaikovsky: The Seasons for Piano Trio – Tchaikovsky Chamber Music Society (FRSACD 001)
  • Piazzolla: Histoire du Tango for Violin and Guitar – Atis Bankas and Simon Wynberg (FRSACD 002)
  • Violoncello – Nata Belkin, Daniel Friedman & Ludovit Kanta (FRSACD 006)
