Electromatrix, a division of 5.1 Entertainment is proud to present a very special release event, ‘Awaken’ at the El Rey Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday November 4th. The event will feature several of the artists from their groundbreaking ‘Awaken’ album which is set for release on November 6th.
Headlining the event will be acclaimed artist, DJ and producer King Britt with his band Sylk 130. From out of the Black Eyed Peas camp in LA, the Underground ‘turntabablist’ posse Universal Scientists with ‘Awaken’ producer Poet Name Life, plus DJ Motive8, Apl, and DJ Rila will astound with their incredible skills. Josh One who is currently blowing up at radio with the album’s single ‘Contemplation’ (with remix by King Britt) will also appear. The bill will be rounded out by Ubiquity recordings artist Nobody aka Nowhereman. The event will also feature super respected LA graffiti artist Kofie, creating art live, inspired by the music.

Electromatrix Records’ DVD and CD release ‘Awaken’ is a full-contact listening revelation. It features twelve visionary compositions by Rabbit in the Moon, Apl, Divine Styler, King Britt, Poet Name Life and others, the music of ‘Awaken’ is delivered via six independent audio channels, allowing arrangements impossible with traditional equipment and instrumentation. ‘Awaken’ also features multi-format video and audio clips and interviews.
