Cactus technologies recently launched its 303 series of 1.8” solid state drive. The drive boasts all features and industry leading specifications of 2.5” SSD but it is little smaller in size. The drive is available in capacity of 128MB, 256MB, 512MB, 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB.

“The 1.8” Solid State Drive is a new form factor and the latest release in our 303 Series product family. It follows our 303 Series CF and 2.5” SSD launches over the past few months,” said Sai-Ying Ng, President of Cactus Technologies Ltd. "Our 303 Series products continue to deliver high performance, true Industrial flash storage solutions to the OEM marketplace.”

The drive not only supports PIO Mode 4, MWDMA Mode2 and UDMA Mode but also features an altitude spec of 100,000 feet. The mean time between failures for the drive is 4 million hours. A read performance of 35MB/sec and writer performance of 20MB/sec ensures that you get fast speeds.

It stands out in the market with endurance cycles per block greater than 2 million. The Wear Leveling and Defect Management make it one versatile device to fall for. The price of the 1.8 inch solid state drive has not been disclosed yet.
