Cables Unlimited Velocity Premium Wireless Speakers

The Velocity Premium wireless speakers that perform well both indoors and outdoors.

The first thing I noticed when I began to take all of the different pieces of this speaker set out of the box were all of the goodies that came along with it. I got the speakers and their adapters, the transmitter base and its adapters, the remote (which by the way even came with batteries), the wall mounts, and, this is what really got my juices flowing, adapter cables! I had everything that I needed to get these speakers working either indoors or outdoors. Of course it was a nice day so the first thing I did was take them outside for a spin.

Since the Cables Unlimited Velocity Premium Wireless speakers came with wall mounts I could have hung them up outdoors, but I didn’t. I wanted to be able to listen to them inside and outside so I just put them on a side table in the backyard. They have a nice sturdy design so they stood there quite nicely with no problems at all. They are cylindrically shaped and are the same width the whole way down, so there is never any tipping or balancing to worry about with these speakers.

While these are by no means gargantuan, for a larger speaker they look fine. Of course the best parts of these speakers is the fact that they are wireless and can be used both indoors and outdoors. There is nothing like listening to some cool tunes while sitting by the pool sipping a margarita and with these you can certainly do just that.

The sound these speakers produce is really wonderful. I mean, you are obviously not going to get the kind of sound that you would get from the Morel Stream MKII 5.1 SoundSpot Speaker System for instance, but when you compare the price of these Velocity Premium Wireless speakers at approximately $130 to that of the Morel Stream MKII at $2,200 you see my point.

With the Velocity speakers, I was actually able to listen to them while they were 150 feet away from the transmitter and they still worked. I have had other wireless speakers that claimed they would be able to work at that kind of distance, but that simply did not deliver. These did and frankly, that was pretty cool.

On the other hand, the transmitter does not take batteries. It would have been nice if the makers had given these speakers the versatility of going either way. That would have really freed us consumers up by making it more portable. But the biggest disappointment with the Velocity Premium Wireless speakers is the fact that there is no left and right channel. Even with these detractions, the Velocity Premium Wireless speakers are still a marvelous buy.

In my opinion, these speakers have a lot to offer in exchange for a low price. In combination with their quality of sound, their trendy look and weather proofing makes them a steal.
