The DVD-Audio Council Co-Chairman and President John Trickett has announced that Bradford Auerbach has been named Executive Director.
Auerbach will be responsible for day-to-day management of the council and coordinating the efforts among member software and hardware companies, in an effort to broaden the acceptance of DVD-Audio among retail, manufacturers, record companies and consumers.
“Brad has been active in DVD for many years and particularly in the area of DVD-Audio. We are very pleased to welcome him as our Executive Director and looking forward to the benefits of his expertise,” said Trickett.
Prior to joining the DVD-Audio Council, Auerbach was consulting to a host of media companies, including Warner Music Group. He has held senior counsel positions with Philips, Liberty/Starz/Encore and Malaysia’s ASTRO direct broadcast satellite operator. Auerbach started his career at Disney’s home video division.
