It’s official! Best Buy and TiVo have reached some sort of agreement which should help them both increase their sales. TiVo will make a dedicated Best Buy TiVo box which will not be any different from the regular box. Best Buy will “heavily promote TiVo products in its 1,100 stores in the United States” while TiVo will let Best Buy advertise its products straight on the TVs of those TiVo subscribers. Best Buy will also invest in TiVo’s software which should be available on Best Buy’s Insignia HDTVs soon. Will this partnership be beneficial to both parties involved? Time will tell!
