You didn’t think Barco would let NEC get all of the fun with their NC3240S cinema projector, did you? Good, as the company has come forth today to show us their own DP4K-series projectors which much like NEC’s offering features some pretty hefty specs. First of all, these projectors combines DLP technology in combination with a 4096 x 2160 4K HD resolution for an amazing experience. As if that wasn’t enough, they’ve also packed between 24,500 and 33,000 ANSI ANSI lumens, a 1,000:1 to 2,000:1 contrast ratios with the 23B being able to produce a 75 foot image while the 32B is capable of pumping out a 105 foot image.

Much like NEC’s NC3240S, Braco’s DP4K-series is set for use within cinemas so nothing has been said in terms of a price tag or release date just yet. But, they did let us know that they will be attending CinemaCon next week to display both projectors. We’ll keep you posted with more information.
