ASUS’s new WiCast EW-2000 Wireless HDMI Kit is designed to make wireless sending of video and audio from a notebook or PC to any HDTV possible.

The Wireless Home Digital Interface (WHDI) technology utilized by the WiCast allows wireless transmission of HD video and audio signals at 3Gbps, which makes sharing HD content in a meeting room or lecture hall much easier. The WiCast is USB powered and so eliminates the need of an adapter to power it up. It supports latency free transmission and Omni-Directional broadcast.

Measuring at just over 4" long and weighing at a mere 0.242 lbs. (transmitter) and 0.352 lbs. (receiver), the WiCast is easy to use and install. It will be available by the end of September at MSRP of $199 MSRP.
