Asus recently unveiled its latest, ultra compact, external DVD burner, the 90-XB1300DR00010. Better known as Extreme Slim External DVD writer, it comes in a super thin, square form factor, measuring just 141 x 143 x 14mm and weighs 320g. Its brushed aluminum enclosure gives it a sleeker and stylish look.

The burner features USB 2.0 interface and supports 1MB buffer memory. It is capable of writing DVD+/-R at 8x, DVD+/-R DL at 6x, DVD+RW at 8x, DVD-RW at 6x, DVD-RAM at 5x and CD-R/RW at up to 23x.

If you are a tech savvy, then it will surely make a cool add-on to your accessories list. However, right now there is no word from the company on how much this latest device is going to cost.
