Apple TV has been generating a decent amount of hype for it is quite a cool little product. Not only is it only $99 but it cn stream content from a networked computer or through Netflix but that’s not all. 99-cent iTunes TV show rentals are also in tow as another killer feature that the Apple TV has. One thing that disappointed many was the fact that there was no mention of applications as the device was rumored to be running Apple’s iOS.

Well today we have somewhat official confirmation that the Apple TV is certainly running a modified version of iOS which gives us hope. This means that the hacking community can get their hands dirty with some Apple TV and jailbreak it, making a whole slew of applications available for the device.
