Amazon Offering Prime Subscribers Unlimited Free Streaming?

One of the biggest trends in today’s technologically focused world is content in the cloud. Home theater nuts are more than aware of this as companies like Netflix have been offering streaming video for quite some time now. However, while Netflix has yet to get a run for its money in the streaming world, Amazon may be looking to change all of that.

Reports have begun surfacing today that say Amazon has begun offering unlimited free streaming to subscribers of Amazon Prime. As this seems to be just a test the resolution offered currently maxes out at 480p but if/when this service rolls out across all Prime subscribers that is sure to change. However, if this service will pose a threat to Netflix remains a question.

For those who don’t know, Amazon Prime costs just $79 a year which will also net you free 2-night shipping on most products.
