In the past, Acer used lesser powerful processors for their Timeline product line. But now they’re poised to launch three models from their Timeline X series, which have full Core i3 and i5 processors. They currently have a notebook-sized laptop called the 1830T, which is packing ULV Core i3 and i5.
Furthermore, the 1830T has an eleven inch screen, weighs three pounds, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, and a 500GB hard drive and it’s priced at a starting cost of $600. Meanwhile, other Timeline X models include the 13.3-inch 3820T, 14-inch 4820T and the 15.6-inch 5820T, which all come with full Core i3/i5 and 3GB or 4GB of hard drive. However, the 14 and 15 inch models feature optical drives as well. But the 5820T seems less portable, considering that it weighs 5.5 pounds.
According to Gizmodo, the 1830T could be the best model in terms of portability, performance, and price. Although this does depend on whether or not you choose to modify the ULV core.
