Sony had been promising 3D playback for Blu-ray discs since CES last January.

I think they said it would be coming in the summer, then Sony CEO Howard Stringer said sometime in October. It looks like the final word will be on Tuesday, included in software version 3.50 for free download.

You will actually have to have a 3DTV to see this, and it will take a while to see more 3D Blu-ray titles.
