Xpand unveils new, universal 3D glasses

January 5, in 3d

Xpand attracted lots of attention earlier this year by making 3D glasses which worked with a variety of 3D TV sets from different manufacturers, and now they’ve announced a new pair of universal 3D glasses, which they dub “You’niversal”.

Lame name? Kinda. But the new glasses can be customized to fit anyone, and are lighter than previous Xpand 3D goggles. The glasses also sport Bluetooth connectivity to an iPhone where users can calibrate the glasses via an iPhone app. The new glasses are expected to retail at $150 when they go on sale in April.
