Viacom, YouTube End Legal Battle; YouTube Comes Out on Top

If you’ve been following the Viacom/YouTube legal battle you’ll know that it has been a long and tedious one. If you’re not familiar with it, basically Viacom accused YouTube of infringing on their copyrights and slapped them with a $1 billion law suit.

Well, lucky for YouTube a judge has just ruled that they are completely innocent and covered under the DMCA. Furthermore, the judge has stated that the current system of finding and removing copyrighted material that YouTube has instated is perfectly fine.

I’m sure Viacom will appeal this, it’s just a matter of time.
