TiVo Serves Super-Sized DVR

TiVo recently launched its digital video recorder HD XL DVR with 1-terabyte disk and capable of storing 150 hours of HD. The recorder will be displayed during CEDIA Expo 2008 home-theater industry conference.

“This is definitely targeted toward the premium DVR user,” said Andrew Morrison, TiVo’s director of platform product management. “It’s not just the home-theater aficionado, but also mainstream users who watch a lot of TV—if you’re a movie fan or sports fan, this is the best option.”

The HD XL Super size DVR is capable of storing seven times the capacity of a regular recorder. You can easily record two different shows simultaneously in high definition and watch a third show at the same time.

An extra port enables you to add more storage and add 65 hours of high definition program. The THX certified home theater audio is available for a price of $599. Visit www.tivo.com and get home the TiVo HD model.
