panasonic-103_inch_plasma.jpgPanasonic has announced the pricing of the much awaited 103-inch plasma set, the TH-103PZ600U. This baby can be yours for just US$ 70,000 (yikes) and should be available by Christmas time. The plasma set impresses with its 1080p capability, a 4000:1 contrast ratio, 4,096 steps of gradation and of course its colossal 103 inch screen size. Not only doe it carry a humongous price tag but it also carries the tag of the world’s largest television. For its price you do get a 3 year old warranty and the 103-inch TV features a HD pixel resolution of 1,920 horizontal x. 1,080 vertical.

“Panasonic didn’t create the world’s largest plasma TV as a technology demo for a trade show,” said Andrew Nelkin, Panasonic’s Display Group Vice President. “We created it because, as worldwide sales of Plasma TVs continue on a meteoric rise, the market is seeking bigger displays on which people can experience the High Definition lifestyle.”
