The Dark Knight available to rent on Facebook

March 8, in Content

We all know that The Dark Knight broke some serious records for Warner Brothers. Not only was it the highest grossing films of all time, but it was the first BD-Live for WB and that free VOD was a nice bonus for owners of the DVD or Blu-ray copies of the film.

It would appear that the way movies are being watched is changing all of the time. Now you will be able to rent The Dark Knight from Facebook.

All you need is 30 Facebook credits or $3, and I’m sure this first-rate Batman movie is not the first to be in this format.

The user has the option to have the standard 48 hour VOD window, and it’s probably SD only. Right now, there doesn’t seem to be any word on resolution or features, and I’m not certain how long this offer will last. I guess it is probably a way of getting more bucks to WB for this film.
