SwimBrowser allows for web surfing on the Kinect

(Kinect/OpenNI) SwimBrowser v 0.0.0.0 from David Stolarsky on Vimeo.

Some of you might remember when we covered the whole Kinect Hack that allows the user to surf the Net.

This is the SwimBrowser, a very similar type of way of surfing the Internet, and is designed by David Stolarsky.

As you can see in the video above, the user uses breast stroke motions to zoom in and out of a website. Scrolling is done with this climbing motion, and I don’t think there is any sort of demonstration of how to enter text.

All in all, it is a pretty neat device, but I think that the presentation could be a little bit better. It looks like he is reading off of cards and it just sort of ends.
