All right folks, we’ve shown you a LOT of truly awesome high end top flight gear around here for the last several months now, but bowing to the pressures of the economy, I think we’ve all discovered that sometimes–just sometimes, mind you–the simplest stuff is the best.
Not to mention the least headache on your wallet.
But to that end, we’ve got a little something of interest for you today, a profoundly cheap sweet home theater setup as created by a couple of kids in university housing.
The components, as I’ve said, are nothing great. There’s an Edifier 5.1 channel surround sound system, a Canon projector and a Sansui DVD player. There isn’t even a screen (it looks like they’re playing this against a wall) or chairs to sit on, but one thing’s clear from this video–you’ve never seen someone have so much fun with one of the most hilariously, intentionally, godawful movies ever, Snakes on a Plane.
It’s not much, this very minimalist home theater setup, but one thing’s for sure–you don’t have that kind of fun unless you have a sweet home theater setup. And in the end, that’s all that really matters.
