.Sony will launch its flagship model BDP-S300 with similar qualifications as its BDP-S1. The player has the capabilities to play DVD-ROM, AVC-HD, BD-ROM, DVD +R/RW, DVD –R/RW, and MP3/JPEG from DVD formats. The new BDP-S300 player features HDMI™ Connection, High Definition 1080p, (Rear) Component Video (Y/Pb/Pr) Output, (Rear) S-Video Output, (Rear) Composite Video Output, (Rear) Optical Audio Output, (Rear) Coaxial Audio Digital Output, (Rear) Analog Audio Output, (Rear) Analog Audio Output, 5.1 channel and (Rear) IR Input. BDP-S300 is somewhat smaller than the BDP-S1 and has following dimensions 16.9″ x 4.1″ x 13.9″ (430mm x 105mm x 355mm). Unlike BDP-S1, the new player will play CDs as well. BDP-S300 is tagged $599.
