Sony W5000 TV

In between the X and the V series, comes the Sony W Series / Sony Bravia W5000 which are available in 40, 46 and 52-inch sizes. With a release date of November 10th 2007, the W Series Bravia’s offer a full HD 1080p resolution 10bit LCD panel, with 500cd/m2 brightness, 2,200:1 contrast ratio for the 40 and 46 inch, while the 52inch has a 2,000:1 ratio.

Vivid colors are produced through the use of a wide color gamut backlight, and combining x.v.Color with sony’s live color creation. 24p is supported for direct viewing of 24fps frame rates for the original film frames per second for no jagging. 120Hz high frame rates (MotionFlow) are supported for reducing jagging and motion blur on high motion scenes.

Digital and analog tuners are included, with three HDMI 1.3 inputs which support 1080p, 24p and HDMI CEC (Bravia Link) for controlling other home theater equipment via the W series set.
