Sony STR-DA6400ES 7.1 channel receiver

Sony Electronics has introduced its new STR-DA6400ES 7.1 channel receiver. Offering second room high-definition video and audio distribution via CAT5e wiring, this new receiver can stream music, photos and videos from a DLNA-compliant PC. “High-definition and other digital content is no longer limited to the living room and Sony’s new ES receivers have been designed to be the hub of this change in entertainment options,” said Tyler Ishida, director of marketing for Sony Electronics’ Digital Imaging and Audio Division. “Backed by 25 years of expertise, Sony’s new ES products not only deliver high quality audio and video, but offer the ability to connect new types of entertainment while distributing them throughout the home.”

The new Sony STR-DA6400ES 7.1 channel receiver features dual Faroudja DCDi Cinema chips that allow Sony’s xpross media bar-inspired graphical user interface. It insures an outstanding picture every time you use it. STR-DA6400ES 7.1 channel receiver also features Sony’s Digital Cinema Auto Calibration for a simple surround setup and BRAVIA sync.

Sony STR-DA6400ES 7.1 channel receiver will be available in the market in October 2008 at a price of $ 2,500.
