OLED displays are already applauded for their enourmously environmentally friendly operation, but that todens’t mean they are perfect as they still have much room to grow. One premiere manufacturer and developer of OLED technology is Sony, a name you’re sure to all be familiar with.

It seems that Sony has taken OLED technology a bit further, displaying an 11.7-inch OLED display with oxide semiconductor TFTs. Regardless if you know what that means or not, the real gem here is that Sony says utilizing this new technology could give these displays a maximum lifetime of over 10-years.

Longer lifetime = less upgrades. Sign me up!
