Sony BDVHZ970W Home Theater System Review-A Pricey Powerhouse

Sometimes you really do get what you pay for, and in the case of the Sony BDVHZ970W, this is just one of those times.

The Sony BDVHZ970W is a thousand watt 5.1 channel home theater system with a 3D-ready Blu-ray player (you’ll need glasses and the right TV and such) and five speakers, including two wireless rear ones.  You’ll also get Internet connectivity for access to a huge amount of original content online, both ethernet and wi-fi capability (it even comes with the necessary adapter), a variety of  surround sound decoders including Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD Master Audio, a variety of playback options, an iPod dock, a component video output, one HDMI output, and two HDMI inputs.

Admittedly, with a system like this you don’t need a lot of input and output jacks as everything you need is in the system. You should be able to work around most any connection problem here, if for no other reason than there’s so little you’ll actually need to hook into it.  The sound quality is just this side of terrific and, frankly, you’ll get plenty for what you’re about to pay here.

And you’ll pay through the nose, rest assured. This fantastic package is available out at Best Buy for eight hundred bucks. Like I said, you’ll get plenty, but you’ll pay for every feature.

If you’re not scared off by that price tag and you want a powerful home theater system with lots of great options and terrific sound quality, try the Sony BDVHZ970W.
