The company introduced this television to accompany Sharp’s AQUOS line of LCD TVs. BD-HDW20 can record BD-RE Ver.2.1 (1 layer /2 layer), BD-R Ver.1.1 (1 layer /2 layer), DVD-RW/-R (CPRM correspondence) and DVD-R DL (CPRM correspondence). It can deliver playback of BD video, BD-RE Ver.2.1 (1 layer /2 layer), BD-R Ver.1.1 (1 layer /2 layer), DVD-RW/-R, DVD video, Music CD and CD-RW/-R (music CD format), DVD-RAM and DVD + RW/ + R.
