Scentsciences makes TV a scented experience

Just when I was finished talking about the concept technology of the ClearPlate, here comes another interesting device that could change home theater viewing as we know it.

I’m not talking about more and more 3D, but ScentSciences is hoping to make video even more lifelike with a ScentEditor to sync smells of your favorite flicks with a Plug and Play interface.

Smells are stored on cartridges that can hold up to 20 different scents and should last up to 200 hours. Want a custom smell? ScentSciences takes orders for personalized smells too. An included “volume rocker” even lets you adjust the strength of each smell.

The ScentScape is about $70 and $20 for the editing software, but it only works on Windows.
