Sanyo is a well known name in the projector world as you’re sure to know considering we show you a new projector from them just about every day. It seems that today will be no different as it was just announced that their PLC-XD2200 projector, pictured above, is now available for purchase.

Don’t expect any HD resolutions here as the XD2200 is not specifically made for home theater use. Instead, the projector comes with a 1024 x 768 XGA resolution, 2200 ANSI lumens and a 500:1 contrast ratio. A major selling point of this particular projector is the fact that its lamp consumes 11% less energy than comparable models and is rated for up to noteworthy 6,000 hours. On the connection front we’re looking at composite, dual RGB and RJ-45.
