Samsung PN63C590 Television Review-Fairly Nice

Samsung plasma televisions usually impress me. I’ve seen some that were better than others, and occasionally I see one that’s really off the mark, but for the most part I have good experiences here. And the Samsung PN63C590 is one of those that isn’t the best, but is still pretty decent by dint of its massive size.

The Samsung PN63C590 is a sixty three inch 1080p plasma television that offers Internet connectivity for easy access to a huge variety of original content, FilterBright antiglare technology, ConnectShare movie mode for easy access to things on thumb drives and digital cameras, two ten watt speakers with SRS TruSurround, four HDMI inputs, two USB ports, two component inputs, and a PC input.

While I really liked the sound coming out of this one–it’s been my experience that TruSurround makes most anything sound good, even if the wattage is a bit lower than some (ten watts isn’t the most I’ve seen), but the picture looked a bit washed out in the color compared to some I’ve seen.  The black looked good and crisp, but the colors not so much.

And considering this big fella’s running at least twenty five hundred bucks (that’s the best price I’ve seen so far, anyway), I find it just a bit overpriced, but still a pretty nice unit overall.  The sound’s great, and the picture isn’t terrible, but is so big that the sheer effect of it is worthwhile.

The Samsung PN63C590 is a big television, but it’s not the best one.
