Samsung PN50C550 Television Review-Not As Good As Many

And so, we end our week with a look at one last plasma television, the Samsung PN50C550. And it’ll be another really nice system for you to consider as part of your home theater setup. It’s not the best one we’ve covered here, but it is a pretty nice one all the same.

The Samsung PN50C550 is a fifty inch 1080p plasma television that offers Wide Color Enhancer, ConnectShare movie for easy access to pictures and video on thumb drives and digital camera, a game mode to reduce blurring in high-speed situations, AnyNet Plus, two ten watt speakers with SRS TruSurround HD support, DLNA capability, four HDMI inputs, two component inputs, one composite input, one ethernet port, one optical digital audio output, one USB port, and one PC input.

Now, the sound is probably the best part of this one–that SRS TruSurround backup really can take normal speakers and put them up a notch. And the picture on this one isn’t as good as some I’ve seen, but still pretty good. And there’s plenty of room here for older components as well as new ones, which is also a plus.

And here’s the really good part–you can find this for a thousand seventy seven dollars out at Amazon, which is a pretty good price. Not the best price on the best television, but certainly no slouch.

The Samsung PN50C550 may not be the best television you’ve ever seen, but it’s a pretty sweet overall setup and a great addition to your home theater, well worth considering if you’re planning to add on, get started or upgrade.
