Samsung PN50B860 Television Review-You Pay For What You Get

February 16, in Plasma TV

Samsung has offered up a lot of different models in their product line, and for the most part they’ve been good overall, with some exceptions in both directions.  But nine times out of ten, you’re not going to go too far wrong if you buy one.  And the Samsung PN50B860 will be no exception.

The Samsung PN50B860 is a fifty inch 1080p plasma television with Samsung’s Internet@TV that offers access to Yahoo! Widgets, Flickr, Twitter, Rallycast, Blockbuster On Demand, Ebay and You Tube services.  It also offers the exclusive Crystal Full HD engine, Wide Color Enhancer, two built in speakers with SRS TruSurround, one PC video input, four HDMI inputs, two component video inputs, one composite video input, one optical digital audio input, one ethernet port, two USB 2.0 ports, and Anynet Plus capability.

You can see they offer you most every feature except the kitchen sink–and at the rate they’re going, it wouldn’t surprise me if the next move was to INCLUDE the kitchen sink.  But all levity aside, they offer a terrific picture and at least fair sound (these aren’t the biggest speakers, you know), so their nearly two thousand dollar price tag can be viewed as somewhat appropriate.

However, deals abound, so keep your eyes open and you’ll likely do much better than retail
