Samsung PN50B530 Television Review-Surprisingly Good Value

The folks out at Samsung have given us lots of exciting pieces of hardware, and though some are more exciting than others, even the lower end of the Samsung line has often given us surprises, and today’s review target will be no exception. We’re talking about the Samsung PN50B530, a plasma television that provides several very interesting surprises.

The Samsung PN50B530 is a fifty inch 1080p plasma television with E-Panel technology for improved picture quality, FilterBright antiglare technology, two fifteen watt speakers with SRS TruSurround HD, three HDMI inputs, two component video inputs, one composite video input, one PC input, a USB port, and a game mode to reduce blurring in high speeds and improve sound quality as well.

The picture and sound quality on this one are both fairly decent–that fifty inch display is nice, and the sound is still pretty good, though a bit diminished against some recent Panasonics boasting three speakers. The two speakers, supplemented as they are with the SRS TruSurround were definitely well worth while.

Now here’s the happy part–this by itself is a great quality system, it only looks bad when stacked against other, more powerful systems. And how much will you pay for good quality like this? Try just under nine hundred dollars over at Amazon. There’s your surprise, folks, we’re dealing with a sub thousand dollar plasma television, and it’s really very impressive, especially for its cost.

It may not be the best television you’ll see, but it’s a surprisingly good value for what you’ll get here. The Samsung PN50B530 is a potent little package wrapped in a decent price and presented for you all at once. You’ll find better out there, sure enough–but this is definitely one you’ll want to consider.
