Samsung is streaming 3D movies to their TVs

We previously reported that Samsung is looking to sell 10 million 3DTVs this year, and there are dedicated 3D stations like Xfinity 3D.

Now there is a report that 3D movie streaming is coming to Samsung TVs. It looks like it is only coming to Samsung, as it will use the Samsung’s Smart Hub widget platform.

This will only occur in Europe, and the content will come from PictureBox who provides content to the UK, Poland, and Singapore.

This 3D service is planned to launch in fall this year, but this could definitely be the start of something new with 3D. Perhaps Crackle or Hulu could be doing some of that 3D streaming action. We will see.
