Roku Partners With Clearleap To Update Their Box With On Demand Movie Feature

Roku recently started a collaboration with Clearleap to update the software for their streaming devices with an On Demand movie feature. In this business venture, Roku aims to give customers with the opportunity to buy On Demand movies from their cable provider and have the charges added to their monthly bill.

Of course, this venture were to succeed, the Roku box would have more streaming options for its users. However, it is not confirmed whether or not Clearleap will actually assist Roku in updating their media devices for the On Demand feature.

Furthermore, Roku made an announcement last year about the upcoming launch of new models with HD, coming to their store. Currently, Netflix is the main provider for streaming but other media service entities such as Pandora, MLB.com, NBA.com, Amazon Video and others have made their way into this market as well. Thus, there’s no information right now concerning Clearleap’s involvement with Roku or a release date for the upgraded Roku box but the device will be priced at $79.99 for retail.
