When is the last time you’ve been to a video rental store? Chances are you can’t even remember. This is because the different services offering streaming or otherwise digitally delivered video have gotten so reliable that there’s virtually no need to leave your house. At the head of the pack in terms of streaming video is none other than Netflix but it seems the company will see some stark competition in the near future.

The reason I say this is because reports have begun coming in that say those behind the popular music streaming service Rdio are coming forth with a new service dubbed Vdio. Currently, the service is only going through a closed beta phase but from what we’ve been able to make out the company has already managed to secure the rights to content such as Breaking Bad and The Dark Knight. Definitely seems quite promising we’ll let you know as more information is made available.
