Portal 2 and Kinect combine

Some of you might remember when we reported on the SLOOW, which uses the Kinect and a computer to do some gesture-based action on the television. I just discovered a way that the Kinect can do Portal 2.

I’m sure that you have at least heard of Portal 2. If you haven’t, then I don’t know where you have been. If you have an iPad, then you should check out The Final Hours of Portal 2.

This particular people that did SLOOW managed to make Portal 2 gesture-controlled, but it uses ICT’s FAAST in order to create the effect of making those cool portals that have sold the first version of Portal so well.

Granted, it isn’t working properly, and it looks like it has some bugs to work out before it is ideal. I’m surprised that Valve, makers of the Portal series, don’t try to incorporate this tech for Portal for Xbox 360, or something.
