Recently, Plextor released their newest 12x internal Blu-ray writer called the PX-LB950SA. This drive features a a SATA connection interface, an 8MB of buffer memory and write speeds of 12x for BD-R, 8x for BD-R DL, 2x for BD-RE (DL), 16x for DVD-R/+R, 12x for DVD-RAM, 8x for DVD-R/+R (DL) and DVD-RW, 6x for DVD-RW, 48x for CD-R and 24x for CD-RW. In addition to this, the device is also compatible with LightScribe (disc labeling) technology and comes with the CyberLink’s PowerDVD 9 BD Suite as a bundle. The PX-LB950SA is currently available in Europe for 179 Euro ($247).
