Recently, Pioneer launched a set of limited edition HDJ-1000 headphones. The headphones have been given a metallic golden look, although the design for the black earcups themselves seem to be pretty old-school. However, the set doesn’t offer much in terms of particular features. You can expect better low-range reproduction and a more comfortable fit overall, that’s about it. Personally, I don’t see these headphones offering enough to actually be worth the $209 price tag Pioneer is asking for. It’s likely that this is a case of style over substance.
