It was just a few days back, we heard about Onkyo’s latest launch TX-SR606 Receiver. The company seems to be on fire. It has announced upgrade to the aforesaid model. Replacing the TX-SR605 Model, the TX-SR606 model now comes with 1080i upscaling, Audyssey’s new Dynamic EQ loudness compensation technology, Onkyo’s new Music Optimizer circuit and two additional HDMI inputs.”The TX-SR605 was the industry’s first home theater receiver with HDMI 1.3a repeaters and a price tag in the $500 range,” said Paul Wasek, Onkyo USA’s marketing manager.

The RIHD (Remote Interactive over HDMI) capability makes it possible to connect the Receiver with branded devices such as Toshiba CE-Link equipment and selected Panasonic VIERA Link, Sharp, and Samsung products. It can also be connected to the iPod dock thanks to Onkyo’s RI (Remote Interactive) function. The Onkyo TX-SR606 will ship in black or silver finishes in April at SRP of $579.
