Oki Electric Industry has now started shipping the ML2611 which is the world’s smallest stereo speaker amplifier. The chip has DAC stereo playback capabilities, 3D Surround Functionality in addition to a speaker amp. Its been targeted at portable devices like mobile phones, PND (Portable Navigation Devices), and electronic dictionaries. The chip measures 3.0mm x 3.2mm and is equipped with an authentic acoustic sound. Full scale production will happen only form June 2007 on wards.
