Norwegian design of a Remote Light Source projector

Get the popcorn ready for big screen movie experience in the privacy and comfort of your own home.  A Norwegian projector manufacturer Projectiondesign has created the FR12 Remote Light Source (RLS) projector – launched at Integrated Systems Europe in the beginning of February 2010.  Major benefits include the relocation of the lamp from the projector to a rack-mounted enclosure, that can be located up to 30m from the projector head.  Which would significantly reduce the usual operating noise and heat level to complete silence, therefore not interferring with the viewing pleasure.  Also the innovation of easier lamp replacement, saving the headache and dangerous ladder maneourvers in awkward unsafe positions.

Light from the RLS illuminates the projector head via an innovative Liquid Light Guide (LLG) lead.  Making the FR12 Remote Light Source projector a must-have for 24/7 operation and applications.  Foremost, addressing the issues and concerns associated with fan noise, heat control and in areas where projector access is restricted.  Not to mention the innovative design, as quoted by Projectiondesign International Marketing and Communications Manager Anders Lokke, ” Projectiondesign has made history by producing innovative projectors that are compact, bright and high-resolution”.  In 2009, Projectiondesign introduced its first 3-chip projector and made its first foray into LED illumination.
