Next year, 3DTV sales could double

According to Futuresource Consulting, a predicted 4 million 3DTVs could be sold by the end of this year. Part of this is the embed 3D chipsets at being able to being manufactured at a low cost.

If this is true, then I guess that people really do want 3D. The other day, I met a TV director for Fox sports, and he mentioned something interesting about sports in 3D.

He said that football doesn’t go well in 3D because shooting it is naturally flat. If the cable camera were in 3D, then maybe you’d have a cool game to watch.
