Lexicon’s RT-10 DVD-Audio/SACD player will debut at the Bristol Sound and Vision Show, which runs from Friday 21st February to Sunday 23rd February, 10am to 5pm each day.
The RT-10 is a reference-quality universal disc transport designed to play virtually any of the 5” optical media discs available today. The RT-10 supports CD (including CD-R, CD-RW, Video CD, S-VCD, and MP3), DVD (including DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, DVD-R, and DVD-RW), and SACD (stereo and multi-channel). Combining leading-edge audio and video technology, impressive analogue circuitry, and an ample array of rear panel connectors, the new RT-10 is at home in the finest music and cinema playback systems.
It will be joined by the Lexicon MC-8: Based on the acclaimed MC-12, the MC-8 is a reference quality, 8-channel digital control centre providing eight fully configurable inputs, two zones and powerful built-in digital audio processing. In addition, a balanced version offers balanced analogue audio output connectors for the Main Zone and Zone 2. The MC-8 offers the latest version of Lexicon’s critically acclaimed LOGIC7 decoding, which creates a full 7.1 channel output signal from 2, 5.1 and 6.1-channel input sources. Unlike other decoders, LOGIC7 decoding accepts any input source and requires no special encoding. Because the improvement it provides is clearly audible, LOGIC 7 surround decoding is widely regarded as the finest available. In addition to LOGIC7 decoding, the MC-8 offers Dolby Digital EX, Dolby Pro-Logic II, DTS 96/24, DTS NEO:6, DTS-ES (discrete and matrix) and THX Surround EX decoding. THX Ultra2 Certification guarantees that specifications meet the highest standards defined by Lucasfilm’s Home THX Division.
Lexicon products will complement a hi-resolution video display from the ScreenPlay 7200 16:9 widescreen DLP projector.
The CSE room (304) will feature the UK consumer launch of the inexpensive InFocus X-1 DLP projector. Also on show will be Screenplay’s SP110 dual mode DLP projector. Another UK consumer launch will be Primare’s SPA20 integrated A/V amplifier with 7-channel capability.
In the REL rooms (432 and 434) there will be a series of “bass tutorials”, with REL’s founder Richard Lord being joined by Alan Porter to demonstrate exactly how you can optimise bass performance through correct set-up and positioning. REL’s other room will display the celebrated REL range in its entirety and demonstrate the power and flexibility of the acclaimed the Quake and Q150E designs.
Meanwhile, the Monitor Audio room (228) will see the world premier of the company’s S5 two-way loudspeaker, which features 6” C-CAM bass/mid-range driver and 25mm Gold Dome C-CAM tweeter. New Silver S Series loudspeakers and the new Bronze range will also be on display.
Entry to the Bristol Sound and Vision show costs £7 with concessions at £3.50. Accompanied children under the age of sixteen can gain free entry. The show takes place at the Marriott Bristol Hotel, 2, Lower Castle Street. |
