In the smartphone world Apple’s iPhone is without a doubt one of the most popular devices. Currently on its fourth iteration, the iPhone 4 features things like a 1GHz processor, 5 megapixel camera and high resolution display which Apple is calling a Retina Display. Seeing how the device is so popular it’s no surprise that manufacturers across the board have come forth to release various peripherals and accessories for the device. One genre of accessories that is sure to be more popular among us home theater addicts is projectors.

In fact it seems that Microvision is working on their own projector set for use with the iPhone and have come forth to show us a prototype of this device. This iPhone projector features an 848 x 480 WVGA resolution, 5,000:1 contrast ratio and 15 ANSI lumens. Unfortunately seeing how the device is just a prototype at this point we don’have more information but we’re definitely interested to hear more.
