Marantz Offers 3D Blu-ray And Internet Streaming On New Media Players

Marantz is gearing up to launch a series of new media players, featuring 3D Blu-ray, internet streaming video capacity and HDMI 1.4 compatibility. Two of the new media players are known as the UD7005 and the UD5005, which are classified as “Universal Media Players”. They’re packing SACD functionality, DVD-Audio, DivX, Blu-ray 3D playback, DLNA v1.5 streaming access with built in Netflix and YouTube compatibility. Furthermore, the UD7005 is due to arrive in September at $899 for retail while the UD5005 will come out sooner in August at a price of $499. Meanwhile, Marantz’s SR8002 receiver will be followed up with the upcoming SR5005, SR6005 and SR7005 models. More specifically, the The SR7005 offers six HDMI 1.4a inputs, Windows 7-compatible DLNA, iPod, IP control and Pandora and it’s due to be shipped for $1,599 in August.
