Liquivista Unveils Electrowetting Display Technology

April 22, in Displays

Dutch company Liquivista unveils a new kind of technology called electrowetting which involves small electrical charges moving colored oil within each pixel. The result is the ability to showcase a display delivering vibrant colors at a fast refresh rate like a normal LCD screen.

This means that images, videos and content can now be easily readable even in sunlight and consumes very little power at that. Potentially a new idea for the HD and LCD makers? Don’t be surprised!
