LG and DivX Come Together to Offer New HDTVs

April 24, in LG

LG Electronics has joined hands with DivX to reportedly unveil a new line of digital TVs that boast of full DivX 1080p videos. If you’re interested, just make sure the next LG HDTV you pick up will be from the LH50-, LH70-, LH85-, PS70- and PS80-series.

These DivX-certified machines will be able to play DivX HD videos from connected PCs or even over the Internet, as long as there is a relevant device connected to the TV’s USB port. LG will be shipping this new range of TVs Stateside sometime later next month, but Europe will get them a whole month earlier.
