LG 50PK550 Television Review-Well Worth A Look

People don’t often think of plasma televisions any more, and I’m hopeful that I can find some good ones and bring them up for you. One such model I say poses a great possibility for your home theater needs comes from the LG 50PK550, a large, substantial beauty with a lot going for it.

The LG 50PK550 is a fifty inch 1080p plasma television that offers Intelligent Sensor systems to automatically adjust settings according to conditions in the room, a variety of AV modes to change settings according to specific conditions, Picture Wizard to help you calibrate settings with on-screen reference points, dual XD engines, 24P Real Cinema mode, Clear Voice II for adjusting dialogue levels so you don’t go from soft to screaming, two ten watt speakers backed up with a Dolby Digital decoder, three HDMI inputs, two component inputs, two composite inputs, one PC input, one PC audio input, and one USB port.

I’m not sure why this one doesn’t seem to have internet capability, which is sad, but there are plenty of set-top boxes out there that’ll make up for the lack. The picture looks terrific with 1080p plasma in a nice big frame, and the sound is also good with ten watt speakers backed up by Dolby digital decoders.

Eight hundred and fifty dollars will net you one of these out at Amazon, which is a nice price for such a large and substantial television.

The LG 50PK550 is one you’ll likely want a closer look at to make sure it fits in your specific home theater, but I can definitely recommend it for a lot of good reasons.
